Pep Guardiola in agreement with Kevin De Bruyne on Romelu Lukaku ahead of £100m Chelsea transfer

Chelsea are reportedly keen on signing Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan this summer. The Blues are currently in desperate chase of a striker and it is said that head coach Thomas Tuchel is a huge admirer of the Belgian striker. It is also reported that Chelsea have prepared a £100million bid for Lukaku. And ahead of the potential transfer both Kevin De Bruyne and Pep Guardiola have lavished praise on the 28-year-old. Lukaku's Belgium teammate De Bruyne has claimed the Serie A MVP winner for last season 'belongs' in the top echelon of world-class strikers.
“I love that picture of the two of us. It is everything," the 29-year-old told the Daily Mail on their friendship at Euro 2020.   "The atmosphere, the combination of black and white players. It shows diversity. That’s what makes the photo beautiful.   "People give Rom a lot of stick and he is a victim on social media, but Lukaku is a striker who will score 20 to 25 goals for Man United – and any other club.   “His goal ratio is insane. He belongs to the best strikers in the world.”
And his boss at City, Guardiola has agreed with him, as he said after the 3-2 defeat to Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium in April 2018:
“He’s 24 and has 100 goals in the Premier League. So that’s not bad, first of all. Second, in the long balls we know the duels. He’s fast and strong.   “I saw him when he played for Everton with my friend Ronald Koeman - he punished us here in the Etihad Stadium and he punished us in Goodison Park.   “He’s fast, going to the channels, he helps to keep the ball and helps to make the movement for the other guys. He’s top. He’s a world class player.”
