Pep Guardiola gave a positive injury update on John Stones as he spoke in the press conference ahead of the clash with Wolves.
Stones had been sidelined since late August due to a recurring injury he picked up during pre-season.
Guardiola will undoubtedly be thrilled to have the English defender back, given his exceptional performances in Manchester City's triumphant 2022/23 season. However, the manager plans to reintegrate Stones cautiously to prevent any further complications with his lingering injury.
"John [Stones] is not ready. Kevin [De Bruyne] is not ready... Bernardo is not okay. I think the rest are fine. [John Stones] is better, much better. He feels really good. He is training alone but maybe next week or after Leipzig, he will start."
While Manchester City is set to face Wolves on Saturday evening, it's anticipated that Stones will make his return next week or possibly later.
