Pep Guardiola confirms Manchester City star could miss Liverpool clash

Manchester City Pep Guardiola has confirmed his side could be without midfielder David Silva for his side’s clash with Liverpool this Sunday. Following City’s 2-1 win over Southampton on Saturday, Guardiola revealed the 33-year-old had suffered a muscle injury during the first half. When asked if Silva would be available against Liverpool, Guardiola said: "I don’t think so. I didn’t speak with the doctor, but when he has a muscular problem and cannot play more minutes, it’s because he has something. When it’s a muscular problem, it’s always a minimum of 10 to 12 days. Five minutes before the first half ended, he told me he had a muscular problem." The two sides prepare to meet this week, on November 10.
