Pep Guardiola has claimed that Manchester City did enough to win the game against Newcastle on Saturday, although it was a draw with 2-2.
Raheem Sterling opened the score in the middle of the first half, however, 3 minutes later Jetro Willems of Newcastle equalised the score. There were goals during the second half by Kevin De Bruyne and Newcastle's Jonjo Shelvey and the match ended with 2-2 draw.
After the match Guardiola has talked about his side's performance:
“We played a good level but with the first shot, we conceded a goal and with the second shot, we conceded a goal,” he said.
"It is not easy to defend so deep. We created enough chances to score more goals, but unfortunately, in last action, they scored. We had another chance with Raheem late on, but in general, it was good.”
The Citizens are currently in the second place in the Premier League with 29 points.
