Pablo Carreno Busta has spoken out on his health issues and playing against Novak Djokovic ahead of Wednesday’s clash.
Busta and Djokovic will face each other in the quarter-final of the French Open 2020.
“They have given me something for nausea. In the third set, I felt better and I tried to close the points quickly, I escaped, I played brave and aggressive, I had no other option,” Carreno Busta
said in an interview.
“I had a little general discomfort, my stomach bothered me. It’s been a strange couple of days, today a little worse. I have gone to the doctor, he measured my temperature and I was fine."
“Against Novak I need to be one hundred percent, being like today I have no option against him. I need to recover. I am not going to eat my head because it does not help me,” Carreno Busta continued.
“But they aren’t bad for me either, if I play well. It will be an opportunity to show myself the level I have if I can recover. Good and I am one hundred percent.
“I do not see myself inferior to anyone if I am one hundred percent. If I am, I have my chances, but Novak has been playing well.
“At least I hope to be able to play a good game and enjoy, that the last time I could not do it."
