Ole Gunnar Solskjaer promotes Manchester United starlet to first team squad

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has added his squad with a player, as he promoted starlet to the first-team. Hannibal Mejbri, 18, will make the step up to train with the first-team regularly. Mejbri, alongside 17-year-old forward Shola Shoretire and Amad Diallo will train with the first-team and drop down to play games for Neil Wood's Under-23 side. "We’ve moved Shola [Shoretire] up with us. Hannibal [Mejbri] will join us and we will keep them with us for a while," Solskjaer told a press conference on Friday. "I think it’s the next step of their development and we’ve just got to take the hit on them when they play for the reserves. They have to travel by themselves, so they move into our bubble. I think that’s a nice step for them and well deserved because they’ve done really well." Mejbri joined Manchester from Monaco in 2019 and has since made huge strides n Wood’s reserve side. The attacking midfielder has come in for some rough treatment since arriving in England with Wood revealing the player carried on after suffering a broken nose in a recent game against Accrington Stanley. He, Diallo and Shoretire have all excelled in recent Under-23 games, all getting on the scoresheet in a 6-4 win over Blackburn last week with the latter netting a hat-trick and Diallo registering three assists.
