Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praises Manchester United star to be a new leader after Leicester loss

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised Mason Greenwood leadership traits in Manchester United's 2-1 defeat to Leicester. The teenager netted the only goal for the Red Devils yesterday, however, Luke Thomas and Caglar Soyuncu's goals handed the Foxes important three points and also made Manchester City 2020/21 Premier League champions. After the game United boss said: "He's (Greenwood) had his form for a long time. I think he's played really, really well for a long, long spell and today, when he looks to his right and his left and has got Amad and Anthony next to him, two lads making their Premier League starts, debuts, he thinks he's got to be the main man and take responsibility and he did. "He was very mature. He looked like a 29-year-old, not a 19-year-old. You saw some definite leadership in the way he had to take responsibility, he knows that. "He knows he's got Amad and Anthony next to him, he looks at them and thinks, 'I've got 100 games here, so I need to help them'. He did really well considering his age. "He's got 100 games, the experience, the way he took that responsibility tonight I was really pleased with. It's maybe not as easy when you've got Bruno [Fernandes], Paul [Pogba], Marcus [Rashford], and Edinson [Cavani] next to you, which is natural. I still want him to take that responsibility when he play. "Because no matter how old you are, if you believe in yourself and trust yourself`and think that's the right decision you make the right decision. I still want him to do that on Thursday when he plays with the more experienced ones." Source- Manchester Evening News Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
