OFFICIAL: Real Betis announce the signing of Nabil Fekir to end Arsenal and Liverpool speculation

Nabil Fekir has sealed his move to Real Betis – ending speculation over a potential switch to Arsenal or Liverpool. Liverpool were very close to landing Fekir from Lyon but the deal collapsed in the last stage. Arsenal have also been strongly interested in Fekir but Real Betis put an end to all the speculations by signing the 26-year-old for a fee in the region of around £20million. Fekir hit 12 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions for Lyon last term, helping Lyon to a third-placed finish in Ligue 1. He came through the youth ranks at Lyon and made his first-team debut in August 2013. In all, he has scored 69 goals in 192 appearances for the club.
