Odion Ighalo has reportedly been handed his shirt number by Manchester United.
The Nigerian international has joined the Red Devils from Shanghai Shenhua during the winter transfer window, after the club failed to sigh the talented youngster Erling Haaland along with Bournemouth’s Josh King.
In his previous Premier League team, the forward was playing with the number 24 kit. Meanwhile, the 30-year-old has played as the No.9 for his clubs since moving to the Chinese Super League in 2017.
Reports in Nigeria have suggested that Ighalo will wear number 25 kit at Old Trafford.

Previous players to have worn that number for United are Antonio Valencia, Nick Powell, Danny Simpson, Quinton Fortune and Jordi Cruyff.
Ighalo is likely to have his debut with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side after the winter break. He could become the first Nigerian to represent United in the Premier League when they travel to play against Chelsea on February 17.
