Nuno Espirito Santo gives his verdict on Tangaga's red card and reflects on Crystal Palace loss

Tottenham have suffered their first 2021/22 Premier League defeat on Saturday afternoon as they lost 3-0 to Crystal Palace. Wilfried Zaha and Odsonne Edouard marked their names on the scoresheet, while Japhet Tanganga of Spurs was sent off leaving his side with ten men. After the game head coach Nuno Espirito Santo was asked about whether the red card was fair, to which he replied:
"I didn't see the image, but the referee did his job and I'm not here to comment on that."
Nuno also revaeled he hadn't talked to Tanganga yet:
"No, I just shook his hand and now trying to find improvement, not only for Japhet but for all of us to improve."
Spurs boss also reflected on the game:
"Very difficult, very difficult afternoon," said Nuno.   "We just look at the game so we had a lot of obstacles during the game to overcome. It was not easy for the boys today. But in the first half I think we were in control of the game, didn't create too much but didn't allow too much also.   "So both teams were in the game but like you said the team losing a player and all these things, but I think we overcame that and at half-time we spoke and the perspective was to improve in the second half, but it didn't happen.   "Even in the beginning before the penalty, one man down, but even in that moment we showed resilience, we were strong. and the penalty came. But a lot of situations we have to look at and be fair to say that we didn't perform as well as we should."
