New scandal? Liverpool’s Champions League rivals may have huge problems
According to latest reports, UEFA have started an investigation over Champions League group stage match between PSG and Red Star Belgrade.
French giants beat their opponents from Serbia 6-1. Neymar scored a hattrick to secure his team’s first win in the competition.
French media outlet L’Equipe suggests that a senior figure related to Red Belgrade put a bet of €5 mln for 5-goal-difference-win of PSG.
It is also reported that UEFA had alerted French national finance prosecutor (PNF) about the match earlier, while only UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin and several other close associates are aware of the investigation.
Liverpool will face Red Star Belgrade in upcoming two matchdays.
