Armenia national team had 0-1 home defeat to Gibraltar in their National League match. Following the fixture Armenia head coach Armen Gyulbudagyants commented on the match in his post-match press-conference. “It was a very tough defeat. We tried to play Mkoyan as he is an experienced player and have been playing for the national team for a long time. I think he should have played. Mkoyan’s appearance wasn’t bad if we don’t take into an account the penalty shootout. We wanted him to get ready for the next match against Macedonia by playing today. “We’re convinced that Movsisyan had some physical issues. But I think he will be able to play the first half. Yura has a great wish to play but he lacks some practice in national team. Anyway, he will gain practice and make many assists. “I’m not interested in statistics but in goal assists. I agree that we failed to make the last assist. “Theoretically we still have a chance and we’ll fight till the end. My future will decide the hierarchy but I’ll keep on working and give my all knowledge, experience and energy to the team up to 2020. “The match result is, of course unexpected . It’s a very tough defeat. I take the whole responsibility of the defeat as we were obliged to win but in football anything can happen. “I saw our players maximum devoted to the match. They kept fighting till the end. We had 7-8 real chances but all in vain,” the Armenia national team's head coach concluded.
