Mourinho takes Tottenham job: 12 years ago ex-Chelsea boss had completely DIFFERENT opinion on this idea

Jose Mourinho has returned to Premier League. Portuguese specialist will replace Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham.  An agreement has been reached between Daniel Levy and Mourinho to sign contract until 2023. Former Chelsea and Manchester United manager is targeting a massive record. In case Mourinho wins a major trophy with Spurs, he will become the first coach to lift a trophy with three different English sides.  But was Tottenham job attractive for the Special One in the past?  Ahead of League Cup final against Spurs in 2015, Mourinho, who has been in his second spell for Blues, told media he had an offer from Daniel Levy (Tottenham chairman) to take charge of the North London side in 2007.  “Yes. I couldn't go. I couldn't train in England for two years.” Mourinho said back then (via Daily Mail). “I would not take the job because I love Chelsea supporters too much.” he added. Tottenham will visit London Stadium this weekend to face West Ham United.  This will be Mourinho’s first match as Spurs head coach.
