Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho commented on the incident during the Europa League clash against FC Rostov (1-1). The head coach passed a banana to his team’s midfielder Marcos Rojo, who ate it right on pitch.
“If you were tired any time in your life, I was tired many times, I know what the body needs. It needs anything,” the manager told his after-match press conference.
“The player asked for a banana. But it’s not to laugh at all. It’s to respect the players,” Mourinho added.
