Manchester United players are reportedly shocked, as forward Deji Sotona, who proved himself to be the fastest player at the club, hasn't been handed a professional deal yet.
The 17-year-old was clocked at a speed of 22.9mph when he took part in tests with the first-team back in September, and he became eligible for a professional contract when he turned 17 in December.
However, after five months Sotona is still regarded as a scholar by the club, which means he could be approached by other sides who would offer him better deal.
According to
The Athletic, a number of Bundesliga clubs are said to be monitoring Sotona's situation and they could potentially consider a move to make him the latest player spirited away from English football to Germany.
The youngster has been a regular in the Under-18 Premier League this season, while he also netted United's winner in their FA Youth Cup clash against Wigan at Old Trafford in February.
