Mikel Arteta and Arsenal handed triple midfield blow

Arsenal have been handed a yet another midfielder blow as Mohamed Elneny has sustained a muscle injury while on international duty with Egypt. the Egyptian Football Association statement leaves Elneny's participation for the Gunners against Norwich City in doubt.

The 29-year-old  had already missed the first game against Angola because of the rules surrounding mandatory quarantine for those visiting Covid-19 red-listed countries. And now he'll miss the upcoming game vs Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's Gabon. Elneny's injury will come as the third midfield blow for head coach Mikel Arteta ahead of Norwich clash. Granit Xhaka is already suspended following his red card against Manchester City, whilst Thomas Partey is yet to regain full fitness.
