Michael Owen makes Atletico Madrid vs Liverpool prediction for Champions League clash

Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen sees their winning run coming to an end at the hands of Atletico Madrid tonight. European Cup holders Liverpool will travel to Atletico Madrid for their first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie on Tuesday night. The Reds are closing in on their first league title for 30 years but will be determined to pick up a positive result at the Wanda Metropolitano ahead of the second leg at Anfield on March 11. "Atletico Madrid v Liverpool 1-1,” Owen said. “Liverpool have an almost fully fit squad available for their return to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium where they famously lifted their sixth European Cup/Champions League back in June. "The Reds were not at their best at Carrow Road on Saturday but, once again, they found a way to pick up maximum points. "A draw wouldn’t be the worst result to take back to Anfield for the second leg and I think it will be honoured even in the Spanish capital."  Source: The Mirror Join us on Telegram!
