MEN: Manchester United to press ahead with transfer plans when window opens

Manchester United will press ahead with plans to sign three players in the summer transfer window, according to MEN. United drew up their shortlist of targets back in January. Aston Villa star Jack Grealish is the first one on the list and the club already started negotiations with him. Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham and his parents, meanwhile, visited the United training ground in March. United are confident of outbidding any competitor for the Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho. The MEN understands United have considered the targets as still achievable this calendar year despite the coronavirus crises. Previously, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said the next transfer window will be unrecognisable from previous years as clubs reconcile after the coronavirus crisis. "I think Mason [Greenwood], Anthony [Martial] and Marcus [Rashford] this season have been fantastic,” Solskjaer told Sky Sports. “They’ve scored upwards of 50 goals, the three of them. “Marcus was on course for his best season, Anthony was on course for his best season, Mason, of course, is just a unique talent, with his goalscoring abilities. But we’re always looking to improve the squad and this uncertainty in the market now, who knows how football is going to be and how the market is going to be. But I’m very happy with the squad I’ve got. “I think today’s world is different to what it was two months ago. We’ve got to adjust to that and there are clubs out there struggling more than us financially. But it’s still a new world and the transfer market this summer will be completely different to what anyone thought it was going to be.” Source: MEN Join us on Telegram!
