Maurizio Sarri and Szczęsny on Cristiano Ronaldo situation after Juventus star 'leaves stadium early'

Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri has clarified why Cristiano Ronaldo was hauled off during Juventus’ 1-0 win over AC Milan. Ronaldo reportedly left the stadium before the final whistle against Milan, as he seemed irritated after his substitution. When Paulo Dybala replaced Ronaldo on 55 minutes, it made the difference as he scored the winning goal. Sarri said: "Over the last month Cristiano has had this knee problem, he had a knock in training and it hurt the collateral ligament. When he trains at or plays, it unbalances him, so he ends up overcompensating and it damages the calf and thigh muscles. It is affecting his performances." Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny, meanwhile, added: “Ronaldo leaving? We are not worried, when a player of this level is removed from the pitch it is normal to get angry. He is a great player, but in this period, he is not doing very well." Source- The Mirror
