Maurizio Sarri speaks out on Slavia Prague clash and Eden Hazard’s fitness

Chelsea head into the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final with Slavia Prague having put together a run of seven wins from nine games in all competitions. Maurizio Sarri’s squad arrived in Prague on Wednesday afternoon. The Chelsea squad in full is: Kepa Arrizabalaga, Willy Caballero, Marcin Bulka, Toni Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri, Davide Zappacosta, Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Ross Barkley, Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Eden Hazard, Pedro, Willian, Olivier Giroud, Gonzalo Higuain. Maurizio Sarri headed straight to the Eden Arena and spoke to journalists: “We need to be careful because this is a very dangerous match for us. They are very dangerous. They scored six goals in two matches against Sevilla. We need to be very compact and to defend very well. Especially on crosses, they attack the box with five or six players, and they are dangerous on counter-attacks. It won’t be easy for us.” Czech fans will be happy to see Chelsea star Eden Hazard playing, however, the boss hasn’t decided yet will he play or not. “I don’t know. Yesterday he had only recovery training in the gym. I didn’t see him. This morning he was a little bit tired, like the other players who played 90 minutes [on Monday]. I want to wait until tomorrow morning’s session and then I will decide, but of course, we have to play after three days in Liverpool,” said Sarri. “Slavia played on Saturday, we played on Monday, I don’t know why. Tomorrow we will have to change five or six players.” The game will kick-off on Thursday, April 11 at 8 pm.
