Maurizio Sarri gives verdict on Olivier Giroud’s future

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri feels confident Olivier Giroud will stay at the club. Giroud scored against Slavia Prague at Stamford Bridge in the Europa League quarter-final second leg clash and joined Lionel Messi as one of only two players to reach the ten-goal mark in Europe this season. The World Cup winner is the first Chelsea player to score 10 goals in a single season in European competitions. Giroud has scored 10 goals and created three assists in his 11 appearances for the Blues. The France international is only the third player to reach double figures in a UEFA Europa League season. Sarri told Sky Sports News: "He is sure, because the club has an option for another year, another season. I spoke to the club two days ago and we agreed to exercise the option, So he will remain."
