Mauricio Pochettino sends message to his players after Lionel Messi's incredible performance against Liverpool

Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino has been impressed with Lionel Messi's performance against Liverpool during Champions League semi-finals second leg. Argentine head coach said they should play like Leo in order to be successful against Dutch side in Amsterdam.

"He's one of the Gods of football. It's unbelievable, the desire and the capacity to fight with the ball at his feet and without the ball at his feet. I am so grateful to have the possibility to watch him every time I can. It's a massive example. Today if I have 21, 22, 23, 17, 18, 14 (year olds) he must be my example." Pochettino said (via Daily Mail).

Pochettino said that he didn't mean to play like Messi when Barcelona captain is with the ball. Spurs boss emphasized how 5-time Ballon d'Or winner has been working for the team, without ball.

Tottenham have lost the first leg at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, when Ajax midfielder Doni Van De Beek scored the only goal in the first half.
