Matthijs de Ligt has issued his verdict on Hakim Ziyech amid Chelsea links

Matthijs de Ligt has been linked with a move to Chelsea recently, as Calciomercato, has reported. The 22-year-old moved to Juventus from Ajax for £67.8m (Sky Sports) in 2019 and since then has made a quite a reputation for him. De Ligt has shared a dressing room with Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech at Ajax for three years. And amid these links, the Dutchman has already made a bold verdict on his then teammate Ziyech.

“I don’t know what will happen yet,” said De Ligt in 2018 when asked about his future.   “Now I am focused only on Ajax – but Italy is a beautiful place and Serie A is an excellent championship.   “Who do I prefer between Cristiano Ronaldo to Juve and Messi to Barcelona? Hakim Ziyech.”
