Marcelo Bielsa reacts as Patrick Bamford earns his first England call-up

Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has reacted to Patrick Bamford's first England call-up, claiming the attacker "deserves it". Gareth Southgate has named the Whites' man in the Three Lions squad for the first time. Ahead of the club's Premier League match against Burnley at the weekend, Bielsa has met the media. "I think he's made a lot of effort to be called up and finally managed to achieve it. From my point of view he deserves it," the 66-year-old said of Bamford in the pre-match conference. "It's the start of his evolution as a player as an international."
