Manchester United's top three transfer targets 'recommended by Jose Mourinho'

Mourinho was sacked last season and replaced by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Harry Maguire was identified as a quality defender and transfer target last summer, with the Portuguese even instructing his scouting team at United to monitor the centre-back. The other two players still on United's wishlist from the Mourinho days are West Ham duo Declan Rice and Issa Diop.
