Manchester United submit official transfer bid for France star who has already flown to Old Trafford

Manchester United have made an official bid for Angers teenager Rayan Ait-Nouri, according to FootMercato. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to bolster his squad ahead of the 2020-21 campaign. Ait-Nouri is considered to be one of France's most promising talents and has already earned three caps for the country's Under-21 squad. The versatile left-back made his first-team debut for Angers against Paris Saint-Germain in August 2018. The 19-year-old made 17 Ligue 1 appearances and provided three assists before a fractured jaw saw him sidelined from January onwards. But that hasn't stopped Manchester United from taking action to bring Ait-Nouri to Old Trafford. FootMercato claim the Red Devils have been in regular contact with the player's agent, Jorge Mendes, over the last couple of months. United and rivals Manchester City have both sent 'firm offers' to Mendes and Angers executives to try and lure Ait-Nouri to the Premier League. It's believed Ait-Nouri flew to England on Tuesday accompanied by his agent to visit the training facilities of several clubs including the Manchester pair. Source: Express
