<span style="font-weight: 400;">Manchester United are stepping up their bid to beat Real Madrid to the £45m signing of Porto defender Eder Militao, according to Daily Mail.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Real Madrid are said to have already made a verbal agreement to sign Miltao, however, the Red Devils remain confident that they can scupper the deal.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Militao, 21,  joined Porto from Sao Paulo for  £3m last summer and has been watched by several to European clubs. </span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Manchester United are keen on signing the player before his release clause rises from  £45m to £70m in July.</span>
