Manchester United receive double injury boost ahead of Manchester derby

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given an injury update on two Manchester United midfielders Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay. Pogba, being out of the game due to his ankle surgery, "has his cast" off and is on the way back to full fitness. Meanwhile, McTominay is preparing for his return to training. Speaking on the players' fitness, Solskjaer has revealed: "It’s hard to put timescales on long-term injuries because they also need the training before being injury free and need to be fitter. Paul’s had his cast off and Scott took his brace off so at least they can now start doing some work on the grass. Just Nemanja [Matic] got a slight problem, so he had to come off at half-time [against Tranmere] and has played loads of football so hopefully we can get him back on the pitch tomorrow." The Red Devils will face Manchester City on Wednesday.
