Manchester United officials send scouts to watch £104m Joao Felix

Manchester United sent two scouts to monitor Benfica forward Joao Felix on Monday. The 19-year-old scored twice in a 6-0 win over Maritimo and impressed United officials who made the trip to the Estadio da Luz to watch the talented player. Daily Mail informs that Portuguese scout Joao Ferreira joined United’s lead scouts Simon Wells to get a second opinion on the attacker. Felix scored 13 goals and made 7 productive assists in just 22 league appearances this season for the Portuguese club. The 19-year-old has already attracted attention of a number of European grands, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, PSG, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Milan etc. Manchester United are searching for new versatile attacker to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad as top targets Jadon Sancho and Callum Hudson-Odoi are proving difficult to land. Felix could be a proper option to United. He can play wide or through the middle and therefore fits United’s bill, although they are reluctant to cough up Benfica’s £104million asking price.
