Manchester United looking at Gareth Southgate to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Manchester United looking at Gareth Southgate to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to The Sun. Solskjaer is under huge pressure at Manchester United and if the Red Devils decide to get rid of the Norwegian England boss Southgate may emerge as an option for United. However, one stumbling block towards a potential deal is the fact United tried to stop Southgate becoming a manager in the first place. Southgate was handed the Riverside Stadium job to replace Steve McClaren in 2006, but in that time he was still taking his coaching Pro License badge. It meant he needed a dispensation from Premier League clubs and his appointment was approved by 19 votes to one and the one was Manchester United’s Sir Alex Ferguson. Source- The Sun
