Manchester United board make decision on permanent manager search

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is winning the race to be named as Manchester United’s permanent manager because of his stunning success. The Norwegian has won 12 of his 15 games in charge and the club’s hierarchy are prepared to shelve plans to look at other candidates. Earlier United wanted an experienced coach to succeed Jose Mourinho and both Mauricio Pochettino and Massimiliano Allegri were ideal candidates. However, Solskjaer proved himself to be a perfect candidate for that role and now club’s hierarchy are even considering naming Solskjaer as their full-time boss before the end of the campaign to remove any uncertainty about their future. It would also send a positive signal to potential new signings and the current squad that the club has a plan to move forward.
