Manchester City want Leeds to sign £13.6m Brazilian on loan if they win Premier League promotion
Leeds United may have missed out on signing Brazilian teenager Yan Couto – but they still have a chance of landing the right-back, according to The Athletic. Leeds wanted to sign Couto, 17, from Cortiba but were beaten by Manchester City, who are set to pay £13.6million for the youngster when his move to England becomes official in the summer. However, Leeds might still be able to sign Couto with Man City reportedly keen for the Whites to take him on loan if they win promotion to the Premier League this season.Couto has 13 caps for Brazil at Under-17 level, one of which came in the Under-17 World Cup final when he assisted a goal in a 2-1 win over Mexico last year.
