Manchester City are now racing with Real Madrid to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, according to reports.
City have been one of the many top European clubs to have been linked with Kane in recent weeks.
The 26-year-old fuelled speculation by admitting he could leave his boyhood club.
Manchester United have also been linked, but the MEN understands that the club are realistic about the remote possibility of signing Kane and view Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho and Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish as more immediate and attainable targets.
According to The Express, it has now left City to compete with Spanish giants Madrid for the goalscorer.
