Manchester City star Kyle Walker is ready to sign a new deal at the club.
Guardiola axed the England right-back last Christmas and left him out for three successive league games because of a loss of form, but Walker regained his form and now the new deal will lead to a major pay-rise.
Earlier Walker admitted that being dropped was a “reality check” and won back his place in City’s starting line-up in January before they went on to clinch the Treble by retaining the Carabao Cup and Premier League title before lifting the FA Cup.
The 29-year-old has three years left on the five-agreement he signed when he joined from Tottenham for £50m in 2017 and City will offer him a substantial increase on his £100,000-a-week salary.
Walker’s new deal could signal Danilo’s departure — the Brazilian wants more regular first-team football after being restricted to just 15 starts last season.
