Manchester  City identify a potential replacement for Fernandinho

Manchester City are considering building their team around West Ham’s Declan Rice, according to The Sun. The Champions are searching for a long-term replacement for Fernandinho. Fernandinho will be 34 at the start of next season, and Pep Guardiola sees the Hammers star as the man to fill his boots. Guardiola will make a detailed assessment of Rice throughout the remainder of the season. It would take a bid over £50million to tempt West Ham into selling, but that is well within City's reach. The ideal scenario would be for him to spend a season working alongside Fernandinho before succeeding him as the heartbeat of the side.
