Lucas Torreira compared to Santi Cazorla after his debut

Arsenal new signing Lucas Torreira has been compared to Santi Cazorla following his first appearance at Arsenal in 2-0 win over Lazio. Many Arsenal fans were impressed with his technical abilities and solidity. The 22-year-old joined Arsenal after Uruguay’s World Cup games in Russia in a reported £27million deal. Arsenal FanTV site were out in Stockolm to ask local fans on Torreira following the match with many of them appearing to compare him with Santi Cazorla. One supporter said: “He really resembles Cazorla. “The movement and technique – I think he’s a perfect replacement for Cazorla. “He [Cazorla] was a very important player so the technicality and the skill – I think he will be really good.” “I was saying the same thing too, he reminds me of Cazorla,” one commented. “Not as creative though.” Another added: “Torreira will be that Cazorla type player for us.” Cazorla returned Arsenal and signed once again for Villarreal after 636 days without playing a game following ten operations on his Achilles injury.
