Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal has named Martin Odegaard as a player he would want in his team. The Netherlands are preparing to host Norway in the World Cup qualifiers on Tuesday.
Van Gaal's side are first in their group with 20 points, meanwhile, Norway are 3rd with 18 points.
"I shall choose between and Odegaard and [Kristian] Thorstvedt," Van Gaal said, when asked by TV2 which Norwegian player he would want in his Netherlands side apart from Haaland.
"Odegaard is very creative and has very good passing. He can play the ball where he wants.
"When the player demands the ball in a good position he can give the ball. And he’s a team player.
"He stays a team player, that is very good."
