"Looks like a new player": Some Spurs fans react to 26-year-old's display against West Ham

Tottenham Hotspur beat West Ham United 2-0 on Tuesday night. Spurs had drawn 1-1 with Manchester United on Friday. In the first half against West Ham Son Heung-min found the net, only for the goal to be ruled out by VAR. Tottenham did find a way through in the second half. Spurs weren’t quite at their best, but they claimed a fairly comfortable win and kept a clean sheet – with Eric Dier playing an important role. Supporters praised Dier’s development under Mourinho, claiming that he ‘looks like a new player’ whilst playing in defence.

Dier was absolutely class today. Considering the amount of stick he often deserves, he puts his body on the line, puts on a shift, is a true leader at the back and has earnt that CB spot
