Liverpool tracking Mallorca wonderkid

Liverpool are eyeing 18-year-old Mallorca striker Victor Christopher de Baunbag, according to the Sport. The 18-year-old has been promoted to Mallorca’s B team, following three years in the youth ranks. Spanish outlet reports that his form has alerted Liverpool, as the player finished as the club’s top scorer every season. Victor is expected to work his way into the Mallorca first team before the end of the season. Liverpool’s scouts are understood to have told the club that the Cameroon-born striker would be a good fit for the Premier League due to his physical presence. The Reds will be aware of Mallorca having sent Colombian centre-back Anderson Arroyo there on loan last season, with the player now with Belgian club Genk as he looks to earn a work permit at Anfield. Arroyo was initially meant to spend two seasons with the Spanish outfit, but the Reds cancelled the deal in the summer after deciding his development would be best served to move elsewhere.
