According to what has been reported Daily Mail, Nicolas Pepe's agents have met with representatives of Serie A side Napoli to discuss the potential move.
24-year-old Ivory Coast international, currently resting after African Cup of Nations, has been linked with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United since the transfer window has opened.
Pepe, who scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists for LOSC Lille last season, will surely leave French side, as announced by club's president Gerard Lopez.
"For Nico, it is almost done and he could have left last summer." Lopez told reporters earlier.
Napoli are ready to pay 45 m, while Lille demand 70 m for their star player. It has been reported that MU and Liverpool have offered 70 m for the move, which is more beneficial for Ligue 1 runners-up.
Napoli's approach doesn't seem to be accepted, however, negotiations are held between Serie A side and Pepe's agents.
