Manchester City are set to face Liverpool on Sunday, as the Premier League action resumes.
The Reds have quite serious injury problems as three key players will miss the clash against City.
Trent Alexander-Arnold suffered a groin injury on Monday and missed Liverpool's 5-1 win over Porto and will surely miss the City showdown.
Thiago Alcantara is another name on the injury list with a calf problem, as he has missed the Reds’ last three games.
The Spaniard as well as Alexander-Arnold, are expected to be back after the international break.
Elsewhere, there is still no firm return date set on
Harvey Elliott’s recovery. Even though the club's doctor said previously that he was
“able to say with confidence we expect him to feature again later in the season.”
