Liverpool set to make first transfer deal this January

Inter Milan have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Liverpool striker Divock Origi on loan, as the Belgian international has been identified as ideal cover to Romelu Lukaku. The 25-year-old has been subject to just 12 minutes of Premier League action this term, after all. He has just one start in all competitions in 2020/21, too. According to Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport, Antonio Conte has been offered the chance to work with Origi, who has struggled immeasurably for game-time this season. The Reds are reportedly ready to sanction a move. Origi could act as cover to Lukaku and his chances of being selected for Euro 2021 hinge on whether the former Genk forward is able to hit his stride in the coming months.
