Liverpool right back Connor Randall is set to return to Anfield after only one league game for Rochdale on loan this season.
The defender only managed one league appearance in Rochdale after a cheekbone injury followed an underwhelming start to his loan spell.
Liverpool have been short of right backs with Trent Alexander-Arnold the only available first team option – Gomez is injured, while Nathaniel Clyne on-loan at Bournemouth.
However, Randall is very unlikely to feature in Klopp’s first team plans.
The 23-year-old is not a promising youngster any more. He has failed to prove himself on loan means that his future at Anfield will soon be in doubt.
