Liverpool player to leave Anfield this month

Liverpool are not in talks with Besiktas over the sale of Lazar Markovic, who has no future at Anfield having proven an expensive flop since his £20million arrival from Benfica in 2014. The Reds are keen to recoup some of the fee paid to sign him. According to Turkish outlet Takvin, Besiktas officials had opened talks with Liverpool over a move for the player. However, according to the Liverpool Echo, the Turkish club are yet to make an approach. The 25-year-old hasn’t featured for Liverpool first team since May 2015 and has been turning out for the under-23s this season. Markovic has previously played in Turkey having spent the 2015-16 season on loan at Fenerbahce.
