Liverpool are planning to take up an option to extend Dejan Lovren's contract until the summer of 2022. The Reds will extend the defender's contract if he is still at the club by the end of the summer transfer window.
Russian club Zenit St Petersburg have shown an interest in Lovren but have yet to make a contact with Liverpool.
Lovren joined the Reds in the summer of 2014 and his current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2021.
During this season the defender has made overall 15 appearances, as he suffered a muscle injury, in which he has scored one goal and provided one assist.
