Liverpool make final decision on young midfielder’s transfer

Liverpool have made a decision on young midfielder Ovie Ejaria as they are willing to sell him in this transfer window. The England Under 21 midfielder has had loan spells with Sunderland, Rangers and Reading. And according to the Liverpool Echo the player is keen to move on due to frustrations at being left out of the first team fold for pre-season. Brentford had been pursuing a deal worth £3.5million plus add-ons and a sell-on clause, which is understood to be accepted by Liverpool. If a deal cannot be agreed for a permanent transfer, Ejaria looks likely to stay at Liverpool. Ovie Ejaria featured in the Carabao Cup but breaking into Klopp’s first team plans seems unlikely as he has played just seven minutes of Premier League football back in 2017.
