Liverpool have reportedly targeted Bayern Munich centre-back David Alaba for the January transfer window, according to Football Insider. 

The Reds are looking for new defensive options, following Virgil van Dijk’s long-term injury he picked up during Merseyside Derby with Everton. Joel Matip and Fabinho are also currently out of action due to injuries.
