Liverpool keen on signing free agent international defender

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing free agent defender Ezequiel Garay as a potential solution to their lack of depth in the centre-back position. Virgil van Dijk could be out for the rest of the season after damaging his ACL and Garay is available on a free transfer after he left Spanish side Valencia at the end of the 2019/20 campaign. According to Fichajes, as translated by Sport Witness, Liverpool are looking at Garay following the injury to van Dijk last weekend in the Merseyside derby.
