Fabrizio Romano gives update on Liverpool defender €12m transfer, club midfielder contract extension, Thiago Alcantara bid

Dejan Lovren is closing in making a €12m move to Zenit St-Petersburg from Liverpool, according to Sports Journalist Fabrizio Romano. Lovren joined the Reds back in 2014. Recently he has found his playing time limited at the team and after 6-year-spell at Anfield, he is likely to leave Jurgen Klopp's side in search of a regular first-team football. Now Russian side are close to signing the 31-year-old with a €12 million (£10.9m/$9.4m) transfer fee. They have already advanced the talks over the deal, which is expected to be finalised after Liverpool’s final Premier League game of the season. Meanwhile, Liverpool are still working to extend the Georginio Wijnaldum's contract. Romano claims club continue the talks with the midfielder's agent over his possible contract extension. Speaking on the Reds target, Thiago Alcantara, the journalist revealed there is still no official bid for the player.
