ccording to what has been reported by Don Balon, Lionel Messi wants Barcelona to sign a world-class right back.
Since Dani Alves has left the club in 2016, Sergi Roberto and Nelson Semedo have been playing in this position.
Messi isn’t convinced with Semedo, while Roberto is naturally a midfielder, rather than a full back.
Reports suggest that Joshua Kimmich from Bayern Munich and Trent-Alexander Arnold are on the short-list of the Catalan side, as both are now the best right backs.
Messi likes Kimmich, who is similar with Dani Alves in terms of style. Argentine star, however, would also be happy to see Alexander-Arnold, who can provide power, speed and attacking variety.
The hardest thing is that both Bayern Munich and Liverpool aren’t considering selling their star defenders.
